近日,科學家向人們展示了硬幣大小的微型“核燃料電池”。該電池利用放射性同位元素的衰變產生能量。

該大學之所以開發微型核燃料電池是為了縮小電子設備內電源的尺寸,讓它更適合小型設備(如微機電係統或納米機電係統),因為這些設備本身已經足夠小,一定要有更小的電源與之相匹配。因此,開發微型電源與開發微電機本身一樣重要。
