據國外網站報道:氫(qing)作(zuo)為(wei)一(yi)種(zhong)非(fei)常(chang)有(you)前(qian)途(tu)的(de)能(neng)源(yuan)載(zai)體(ti)變(bian)得(de)越(yue)來(lai)越(yue)重(zhong)要(yao)。但(dan)氫(qing)比(bi)較(jiao)危(wei)險(xian),因(yin)為(wei)它(ta)可(ke)燃(ran)且(qie)難(nan)以(yi)檢(jian)測(ce)。為(wei)了(le)安(an)全(quan)用(yong)氫(qing),需(xu)要(yao)可(ke)以(yi)檢(jian)測(ce)到(dao)最(zui)小(xiao)量(liang)的(de)氫(qing)泄(xie)漏(lou)傳(chuan)感(gan)器(qi)。Delft工業大學的研究人員發現,金屬鉿非常適合應用於氫傳感器。

Delft大學的Christiaan Boelsma博士發表在Nature上的研究表明鉿確實有這種敏感性。

2016年年底,Fokko Mulder教授研發了集儲電和產氫於一體的設備,命名為Battolyser。它能夠以較為廉價的方式產氫及儲能。該發現將大大促進氫能經濟的發展。
