該項目負責人尼德利克稱,采用這項新技術可以使陽光中可見光的80%轉化成光電能並用於製氫。目前該項目還有許多試驗要做,要達到實際應用效果,複合電極之間的電磁場至少要達到1.8伏特。尼德利克表示,“我們的實驗證明,未來完全可以利用太陽能來生產氫燃料。我們已與一家公司合作使光製氫項目工業化”。
